Historic RCA Studio B is the birth place to more than 35,000 songs and more than 1,000 hits. Stand where Roy Orbison recorded the heartbroken “Only the Lonely,” or Dolly Parton tracked the classic “Coat of Many Colors,” in Nashville’s oldest surviving recording studio.

Chet Atkins, the Everly Brothers, Don Gibson, Roy Orbison, Dolly Parton, Elvis Presley, Charley Pride – these are just a few of the greats who called Historic RCA Studio B home. Together the artist who recorded here made the studio the “Home of 1,000 hits” and helped establish the Nashville Sound. Located on Music Row, the world-renowned Studio B continues to inspire modern artist such as Martina McBride, Marty Stuart, Carrie Underwood, Wynonna and many others who have followed their heroes to capture some of the magic in Nashville’s oldest surviving studio.

Age Requirements:

Adults are ages 13 and up, Youth are ages 6-12, under 6 are free. Studio B portion of the ticket, the child must sit on the lap of the parent. If the child requires a bus seat a ticket must be purchased.

Notes:

All Studio B tours depart from the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, 222 Fifth Ave. South. Tours times will be assigned upon arrival at the museum, guests are encouraged to arrive at the museum prior to 11:00am to select from the greatest availability. Same day availability cannot be guaranteed for guests arriving after 11:00am.

Accessibility; Courtesy wheelchairs are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. There are ramps located throughout the museum. Upon request, guided tours are available for visitors who are blind or have visual impairments. An Audio Tour is a great enhancement to the Museum tour, and is T-coil compatible. Headsets are available upon request with the standard audio wand rental. Sign Language Interpreters are available for most of the Museum programs upon request. All requests are subject to availability.
