John D. Rockefeller, Jr. first opened the Observation Deck atop 30 Rockefeller Plaza more than 80 years ago, to give something back to New Yorkers - a place to appreciate and celebrate the city. Now you too can enjoy the view and appreciate the history!

The exhibit hall on our mezzanine features a retrospective on the history of Rockefeller Center, including a thrilling 'beam walk' and state-of-the-art theater with 3 short films covering the Center’s historic 10-year construction during the Great Depression in the 1930s. Then, ascend to the Top in only 50 seconds with a ride up 850 feet (260 m) on the Sky Shuttle.

Breathtaking views stretch for miles in every direction as you explore 3 floors with expansive, unobstructed indoor and outdoor viewing areas and decks.
