Skip the bridges, the parking, and the traffic. The Daniel Island Ferry runs between Daniel Island’s North Dock (1 River Landing Drive) and The Cooper Hotel Dock downtown (176 Concord Street), and the ride takes about 30 minutes each way. A round-trip ticket gets you there and back, and the ride is half the reason to go: wide-open water, the Ravenel Bridge on the horizon, and a decent shot at seeing dolphins.
Locals use it to get downtown for dinner, drinks, or a show without worrying about the car. Visitors use it to get out on the water without having to book a separate tour.
