As a functioning animal hospital, the residents at the Aquarium can change regularly, but you'll always find opportunities to view the rehabilitation efforts for sea turtles, dolphins, stingrays, sharks, pelicans, and the playful otters. Some of these animals have become mascots for the Aquarium because they cannot be released back into the wild.
However, the main attraction at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium is the all-new Ruth and J.O. Stone Dolphin Complex. This complex features pools and working areas where the center cares for its group of Atlantic bottlenose dolphins. Winter's arrival in 2005 brought worldwide attention through the box office hits "Dolphin Tale" and "Dolphin Tale 2." Since then, the Aquarium has been dedicated to Winter and her soul-mate, Hope. Today, they are the beloved stars of the center, and their daily showcases of care and attention are truly must-see experiences, particularly through the mesmerizing underwater viewing area known as the Window of Wonder.
